To become a Legacy Circle member, just include AHS in your estate plans. Legacy Circle members can enroll their pet(s) at no cost in our Continuing Care program, a program that ensures their furry friend is placed with a new family should the pet parent precede them in death. Kono came to the Arizona Humane Society after Keith, her human companion for the past eleven years, passed away. As Keith’s health deteriorated, he was comforted by Kono and was confident that his beloved cat would be taken care of after he was gone. As a member of AHS’ Legacy Circle, Keith had enrolled Kono in Continuing Care.

After just a couple of weeks with Foster Hero Molly, Dave, another Legacy Circle member, stepped up to give Kono her big chance. Dave initially brought Kono home for a staycation to make sure she would be happy with his dog and two cats. At first, she found the dog to be questionable, but ultimately decided she would tolerate his presence. Now, Dave, Kono, and the whole gang can be found at home, enjoying each other’s company.
