Pet Interest Form: Amber

Amber's Story

Amber

Adorable Amber is a loving 11-year-old senior German Shepherd who has been in the care of the Arizona Humane Society since January after originally being adopted as a puppy in 2010. Sadly, her owner passed away and she had no one else to care for her, so her friends at AHS are once again on the search for a loving home.

Once in AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™, it was discovered that Amber has experienced some gastrointestinal issues that may require additional veterinary and supportive care. The cause of these issues is unknown at this time. It is recommended that her future adopter follows up with their veterinarian to determine a treatment plan. Amber’s quality of life is still great as she is an energetic, happy and affectionate girl who appreciates a good game of fetch as much as she does cuddling with her favorite people. She is house trained, walks great on a leash, knows basic commands, and is very affectionate with her human friends. Amber is very gentle with everyone she meets and has lived with other dogs before, and would do best in a calm home with dogs who match her energy and playstyle.

AHS is searching for a family for this sweet senior who will not only give her the love and care she deserves, but also take on her ongoing medical needs. In an effort to help her find her forever home, Amber’s adoption fee is waived for the person or family dedicated to caring for her during her golden years. Thank you for your interest in giving Amber a loving home!
