Pet Interest Form: Lundy

UPDATE: Lundy was adopted!

Lundy is just one example of more than 15,000 sick, injured and abused pets who are given a second chance at a great life every year thanks to your support of the Arizona Humane Society's lifesaving work. Please visit to view AHS' adoptable pets.

Lundgren, AKA Lundy, is a smiley boy who is hoping there is a Labrador Retriever lover who will help him retrieve a special forever home! This sweet eight-year-old senior pup has been in the care of the Arizona Humane Society since August after he was rescued by an AHS Emergency Animal Medical Technician™ as an injured stray. Once in AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™, he was treated for a severe wound on his abdomen, however, it was recently discovered that he has been experiencing muscle atrophy (muscle loss) on one side of his head.

AHS veterinarians suspect it may be caused by a slow growing tumor however further diagnostic testing is needed to determine the underlying cause. Currently, Lundy’s quality of life is good and AHS wants to give him every chance possible, but is recommended that his future family work with a veterinarian to do additional testing that may lead to potential ongoing care.

Lundy is active and happy with a great quality of life and has a lot of love to give still. AHS is hoping a special family out there will fall in love with this older gentleman just like everyone else has and be willing to not only give him the love and care he deserves, but also willing to take on his potential medical needs. As is evidenced by everyone’s adoration of this happy-go-lucky boy, Lundgren has shown to be a typical Lab and a very loving companion who gets along with his two-legged friends but will need to meet the other pups in the home to ensure a good fit.

In order to help him find his forever home, Lundgren’s adoption fee is waived for the person or family dedicated to giving him the love and care he deserves during his golden years.
