When Rio was found lying on the hot pavement in someone’s driveway, she was extremely thin and every bone in her body was visible. AHS' Emergency Animal Medical Technicians had to carry her to the ambulance because Rio didn’t have enough strength to stand, let alone walk. To help end animal homelessness, the Arizona Humane Society's Circle of Friends is hosting the It's Hip to Snip Free Spay/Neuter Day on October 16, 2014 with check-in starting at 6:00 a.m. The first-come first-served event is always popular, so arrive early!
