Karin Graham’s morning drive to work is usually uneventful. However, one day in April changed all that as she unknowingly became part of an amazing AHS rescue story.
Stopped at an intersection, Karin, an AHS staffer noticed a lone kitten in the middle of the road. Calling to it, the kitten ran toward her, around her, slid under the car and jumped up into the engine to hide. Karin called AHS' Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™, who raced to the scene.

English Mastiff mixes are known for their loyal and loving personalities. Gertie is an adorable 80-pound lap dog that is completely unaware of her size when she wants to cuddle. For a treat, this polite lady will perform the "sit" command. However, if she's feeling sluggish, she'll execute her favorite trick: block all foot traffic by sprawling out in the hallway. Snoring, drooling and clumsy playful antics are to be expected.
