Kitten Found Trapped Behind a Wall
It was a hot morning when we received a call that there was a kitten stuck behind a double-bricked wall. She'd been there for at least a full day already without food or water, and her cries were getting desperate. Lucky for her, our EAMTs™ were ready to get to work.

Helping Pet Owners Keep Their Pets
Helping pets find homes is vital. But just as important is keeping pets in loving homes. Which is why stories like Rocky's tug at our heartstrings:

Twelve-year-old Rocky came to our veterinary clinic underweight and with several visible masses. His owner hadn't been able to find a veterinarian willing to do the procedure he needed. Rocky needed help fast. Luckily, AHS veterinarian Dr. Peters was willing to give him a chance.

Interested in Adopting Royalty?
Due to the unprecedented worldwide pandemic, Maricopa County is facing a housing crisis as thousands of people and their pets are in danger of eviction and being displaced from their homes. AHS has teamed up with other leading Valley animal welfare organizations to create the Pet Housing Help AZ Task Force, which is committed to helping both our four- and two-legged friends who have been impacted by COVID-19.

As part of this task force, we’ve created the Pet Housing Help AZ rehoming and fostering site, which allows individuals in need to connect directly with other Valley residents to rehome or temporarily foster their pet. You can help make this heart-wrenching situation better by adopting or fostering a beloved four-legged family member like Royalty.

Royalty, a beautiful, energetic 1-year-old girl, is looking for her furever home. Royalty enjoys playing tug, chasing the ball and going on walks. She loves being outdoors, so a home with a yard would be great! This very smart girl is just starting out on learning her manners, are you willing to help her learn some more?
