Cat Rescued from Cell Phone Tower in Phoenix
We do not know how this cat became trapped underneath a cell phone tower in Phoenix, but we sure are thankful for his rescuers! AHS’ Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ and cell phone tower staff worked together to safely recue this curious cat, who had been appropriately named Nokia. Nokia is one of more than 6,000 pets rescued by AHS’ EAMTs™ each year. Watch this incredible rescue video!

Buddy’s Transformation, Eight Months After Adoption
Buddy the 4-year-old Labrador Retriever arrived at AHS in April of 2020 extremely under-socialized, fearful and shut down. Our Behavior Team worked tirelessly to make him comfortable with lots of patience, enrichment activities and confidence-building exercises. When Buddy was adopted by Debbie and Dave, they committed to continuing his training at home through Virtual Dog Training Lessons. Today, Buddy is a confident, silly and sweet, loving companion!

Interested in Adopting Lola?
Due to the unprecedented worldwide pandemic, Maricopa County is facing a housing crisis as thousands of people and their pets are in danger of eviction and being displaced from their homes. AHS has teamed up with other leading Valley animal welfare organizations to create the Pet Housing Help AZ Task Force, which is committed to helping both our four- and two-legged friends who have been impacted by COVID-19. As part of this task force, we’ve created the Pet Housing Help AZ rehoming site, which allows individuals in need to connect directly with other Valley residents to rehome their pet. You can help make this heart-wrenching situation better by adopting a beloved four-legged family member like Lola.

Lola is a playful 1-year-old German Shepherd who is good with children. She is spayed and ready for you to welcome her into your home.
