Dog Provides Life-Saving Blood Donation to Fellow Shelter Pup in Need
|
| Jasmine, a 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix, saved an 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix named Kimiko by donating blood during her time of need in AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™. When Kimiko arrived at the Arizona Humane Society, she was too weak to stand. She was severely anemic, emaciated, unresponsive, hypothermic and needed immediate care to save her life. That same day in AHS’ trauma hospital, Jasmine was being treated for her broken leg and was healthy enough to give blood to Kimiko through a blood transfusion, which ultimately saved her life. |

Dog Who Spent More Than 400 Days At Animal Shelter Finally Finds Loving Home
|
| Lola, a 2-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix, spent over half of her life, more than 400 days, at the Humane Society of Wickenburg before she was transferred to the Arizona Humane Society as part of AHS’ Project Reachout program. Within 24 hours of Lola being transferred, she was adopted by a family in Mesa! |
