Calling all Akita Lovers!
 
 

This sweet, docile girl named Kami came into our care as a pregnant stray looking for a safe place to have her puppies. Thanks to the combined efforts of our medical team and an Arizona Humane Society Foster Hero, Kami is now a proud mom whose pups have since gone on to get adopted, yet Kami continues to wait for a furr-ever home that she can officially call her own. This 7-year-old energetic and intelligent Akita and German Shepherd mix has a face that stops visitors in their tracks, and she is just as sweet as she looks. Kami is a big gal weighing in at 87 pounds, so would benefit from a home where she has some room to move around. She also gets quite attached to her humans and would love the company of someone who is home quite often. We might be biased, but Kami is the full, furry package and everything you could possibly want in your new best friend.
