Cat Recovers After Apartment Fire Thanks To Compassionate Foster Family

In early March, Bella’s life came perilously close to ending when she was caught in an apartment fire. The 4-year-old Tortie managed to escape outside to the back patio, but our Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ found her with severe burns to her fur, paws and whiskers.

Bella was transported to our lifesaving Second Chance Animal Hospital™, where our vets tended to her wounds. After a week, Bella was out of the woods, but she still needed more time heal before finding her forever home.

It’s with heavy hearts that we recently said goodbye to Wrigley - the AHS alum whose owner created a bucket list of fun to-dos after Wrigley was diagnosed with an inoperable form of cancer. Help us pay tribute to this amazing pup Saturday, April 12th at the Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion.

Fritos, a Parsons Russell terrier mix, once lived the “ruff” life of a stray and her eye was badly injured when she arrived at AHS. Having made a remarkable recovery, this laidback, one-eyed, 7-year-old is now ready to find a new home.

She loves sunbathing by the pool, occasional walks, cuddling and homemade dog treats! Her charming and sweet personality makes her the perfect companion for any household. Fritos is available for adoption at Petique at Biltmore Fashion Park.
